Christian Science nursing is a healing ministry based on the Bible and the teachings of Christian Science as found in the writings of Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science.

Christian Science Nurse. Sect. 31. “A member of The Mother Church who represents himself or herself as a Christian Science nurse shall be one who has a demonstrable knowledge of Christian Science practice, who thoroughly understands the practical wisdom necessary in a sick room, and who can take proper care of the sick.
The cards of such persons may be inserted in The Christian Science Journal under rules established by the publishers.”

Christian Science nursing is a Manual-based activity.

Lime Tree House offers Christian Science Nurses Education with Le Verger’s education program accredited by the Commission for Accreditation of Christian Science Nursing Organizations/Facilities, Inc.
The Le Verger program is a comprehensive education program which covers all four levels (Levels I-IV) of Christian Science nurses education.

The program begins with providing each Christian Science nursing education candidate with the Spiritual Dimension of Care seminar. The seminar explains Christian Science nursing as a Manual-based activity grounded in the Bible and the theology of Christian Science as taught by Mary Baker Eddy. Le Verger’s Spiritual Dimension of Care seminar provides an interactive discussion about Christian Science nursing where one can ask questions and hear examples from one of Le Verger’s experienced Journal-listed Christian Science nurse instructors.

The seminar is a helpful first step for those thinking about entering into the ministry of Christian Science nursing. The seminar is suitable for large or small groups, including branch churches, and can be delivered in five languages, in person, or via Zoom.
The seminar discusses the biblical basis and Manual provision for Christian Science nursing. This full day presentation also discusses the history of Christian Science nursing and introduces participants to The Christian Science Nurse Scope of Services, giving participants a clear understanding of what the care of a Christian Science nurse does and does not include.

Students at Lime Tree House are guided through Levels I-IV of Le Verger Christian Science nursing education that includes classroom training followed by side by side mentoring with the Lime Tree House team of Journal listed Christian Science nurse mentors. Students can also apply to work with a Visiting Christian Science nursing organization. The program is designed around the needs of the student.

Financial concerns should not stand in the way of pursuing Christian Science nursing education.  Once an application has been received and an applicant has been accepted into Le Verger’s program, Lime Tree House will assist with the application process for financial aid to support training costs. Lime Tree House provides employment and accommodation for their students.  Classes are scheduled on a one to one basis tailored to the needs of the student.
